Is it ok? I checked the Tom Hale forum and it just says its in his book (which I don't have). So does anyone know offhand? TIA.

It's safe. Babies can be prescribed Zyrtec, and it's one of the few allergy medicines with decent studies on safety in breastfeeding women.

Nursed for three years!
What I recall reading was that he (Hale) preferred women to use non-sedating forms of antihistamines, like claritin or allegra. Zyrtec can be sedating. I thought I read that it was admitedly a theoretical concern, but he was worried about sedation/breathing issues in infants.
HI,
I am a pharmacist and it is totally safe to give Zyrtec while breastfeeding. No need to worry!
Hi, I am BFing my almost 5 1/2 month old DD and I am on Zyrtec. Both my OB and Ped said it was totally safe,
