RE: Another update!
Mariana!
I'm so happy to hear that things are improving! You are doing such a GREAT job! How is your DH feeling about all of this?
I wanted to comment on one thing you said:
>I am SO looking forward to the day I can
>just whip out my boob and feed my baby with no other
>"accessories" needed!
I don't want to be a downer, but speaking from my own BFAR experience, you need to keeping thinking that you will always needs to supplement. It was such an emotional blow for me to realize that our breastfeeding relationship was never going to be "normal." Yes, eventually my son got established on solids, weaned from the LA, and continued to nurse without accessories. BUT for SEVEN STRAIGHT MONTHS every single feeding involved the SNS or LA. You have to prepare yourself emotionally for that, okay? It's HARD, very HARD. I don't want you to crash and burn. Then if you find out you can wean off the supplement earlier, it's a pleasant surprise.
Hang in there momma, you're doing GREAT!

RE: Another update!
I haven't been around much and I missed your earlier posts, but I'm glad to hear that things are improving! DD had awful problems with latch and I couldn't wean her off the shield for more than two months, so I totally understand your desire to nurse without "accessories." Just keep taking it one day at a time.
