Anyone ever try or heard anything about a teething necklace?
Here's a link to one. http://www.babytrishastreasures.com/
It's very tempting, yet it is still another $20 so some opinions would be great!
TIA!

Yes I have known several people who have had great success with them. The one I am referring to is made from burdock (? spelling) root and is dried out and it is strung onto thread with a needle. My sister was very sceptical using this but her DS has never had teething pain since. My DD is 4 months old and she will be wearing one at the first sign of teething pain. I looked at the website but I can't tell if it is the same thing or not.
I'm interested in hearing any other reviews! DS2 and I both seem to have mild eczema and I'd love to check that out, plus teething time will soon be upon us!
Hmm...I'm intrigued--not for Kaya, who is almost done with teething and really hasn't had a bad problem with teething--but for myself! I have reflux, endometriosis, fatigue, insomnia, IBS, etc., and I need some help! I'd be willing to try it and one of the necklaces looks quite nice. So anyone actually try one of these?

I hate to be a nay-sayer, because these sound really cool if they do work, but Health Canada has issued a warning as they may be a choking/strangulation hazard. If you're interested:

They are quite beautiful natural looking necklaces - for adults, though! ;)
I'm glad you brought it up. I figured as much &, frankly, was suprised that necklaces for babies would be allowed regardless of their purpose, but I figured since they were available that somehow they are ok. Silly me?!
One person who advocated for them at her website said choking, strangulation, etc. wasn't an issue, but honestly, I'm not sure how it couldn't be a greater than normal risk.
Thanks!
Michele
Yeah, I'm actually going to order one for myself to try out (I'll keep you all updated if you care), but I wouldn't use it on my DD. That said, she has played with the nursing necklace since around 1.5 years and she's really good with it, but I do keep an eye on her when she's playing with it. For the most part, she doesn't put it around her neck, though. She likes to put it in funny places...

Please do keep us updated - I have a friend who is having alot of trouble with her eczema these days and I'd be curious to see if this might help her... Good luck with it!
Yes, keep us updated, I may order 1 for myself too, I just hate this eczema.
Eileen,
I hope you see this! Did you ever get one of these necklaces? I was wondering about them for eczema & because DS2 is a real bear now that we are on our long journey thru teething (at 10 mo he's got 1/4 of a tooth, and many many more to go!) his first tooth cut last week and he's been a drooly, emotional mess since.
it seems that babytrishastreasures.com is no longer a working site, but i've been looking at other sites, and was wondering if anyone has tried one, or has a site rec.
