    Default RE: how much babyfood?

I just read this the other day too. I think I was reading information from a nutritionist at ivillage. Here's a link: http://parenting.ivillage.com/tp/tpn...,,3w0q,00.html

Sorry I'm late. Just saw this.

I know I read that guideline in Super Baby Food. I found this link at kellymom: http://tinyurl.com/264ajp with more specifics.
I also did a MyPyramid Plan for a 2YO male. Here it is: http://tinyurl.com/yrk32d

FWIW, my dd's meals pretty much still consists of 1T of each food group. She occassionally asks for more but not often. She doesn't drink milk but eats milk products. She's always eaten like this except during a growth spurt. Then she eats "normally". She's average height but very petite--37in/ 28.75#.

DS on the other hand... eats like a horse. His before bed snack tonight was *3* bananas. He wakes up at night if I forget a bedtime snack and will down 12 ozs. of applesauce with nary a thought. He's
    32.75in/25#.

It's hilarious to me that I feed dd 4 or 5T of food for dinner while I serve him an adult meal and then seconds after that. They're too different kids with different body types. It was very comforting to me to have the 1T/year guideline when dd was younger(and, heck, even now). She had "weight issues" according to the mainstream growth charts but was a solid 15% on the BF ones. I stressed *alot* about her growth and was pressured to feed her solids although I didn't until she was 6M.

I'll stop now. I don't even know why I typed all this but take what you like from it. :)

LOL, thanks!! DS eats like your son, so 1T per year would mean that he's eating like 30 servings per meal. He eats about as much as I do. He's about 32-33 in and 28 lbs at 17 mos.

    Default Problem Solved!!!!!

Well, I switched from yummy, sweet carrots to not-so-yummy peas and she eats much, much, less now :)

    Thanks everyone for your support!
