helping with viewing pics

Okay, I don't know if this is a problem with my viewer (I use Opera) or if this is just something I need to change in my settings, but sometimes when someone attaches pictures with their post, and they upload it as .txt files, I can't see the pictures. Instead, because it shows up as a text file, when I click on the link, I just get gobbledygook. Is there something I need to change with my settings or does anyone else have that problem? Here's a recent example where that happened:

As you can see from the responses, some other people were able to see the pictures.

It could be a browser thing, because I just checked the link and got the same response. I use Firefox (similar to Opera), and it didn't like the fact that it was a text file instead of a picture file.

I sometimes have the same problem. I'm on a Mac though, so I think that's the root of the issue.

I can't see bmps at all, only jpegs.

So if I were to use explorer, I might be able to see the pics? Hmm...let me try it...

Hey, what do you know it works! How strange that explorer treats the text as a picture...

At least now I know it's not my settings. Thanks Marisa and Natalie.
