Default I think the time stamp is an hour off

I double checked my profile/preferences and I'm set to the proper time zone.

It's currently 4:25 p.m. here in the central time zone, but my post says it's 3:25 p.m.

I never noticed it being off before. Perhaps another new server issue? If not, any tips to correct this?

If you go to your user preferences, you can set it to be the central time zone (with daylight savings or not, depending on the season).

I already double and triple checked that my preferences were set to the correct time zone. It's still off.

mine's off too. i noticed it after the DST time switch. Maybe the program just didn't adjust for DST?

eta: Oh, and my preferences are set correctly too. Not a big deal, just a little confusing.

I'm still having a problem, too, even after checking three times!

    Yep, that did it.

East coast folks should be selecting Eastern EDT, not Eastern. I can never remember which is the real time and which is "daylight savings time", but whichever we are in now, the boards are calling it Eastern EDT.

We have to change our preferences each time the time changes, the boards are not smart enough to know whether the area you live in adheres to daylight savings time or not. You have to know how many hours you are off from GMT and select accordingly.

Karen is right. Like that is a surprise!

I had to change myself to "Indiana/East" instead of "Central." Now it's right.
