I finally figured out how to post pictures. I had a lot of trouble and wanted to help anyone else who might be having the same issues. Two things that solved my problem:

1. Make sure your photo is not too large. It turns out the photos from my digital camera were huge so I resized them to 640 X 480.

2. I renamed my photos to something without numbers in the name.

I changed those two things and voila it finally worked!
