Default freezing flour and other dry goods?

We recently bought an upright freezer and I finally have some much-needed freezer space that we didn't have with just our old SBS fridge-freezer. I understand that flour can be kept in the freezer for long-term storage to keep bugs away. Does anyone do this and have tips for keeping out moisture? Do you freeze other dry goods too? Sugar? Dry baking mixes? I assume you could not freeze anything with yeast in it, but I may be wrong.

    TIA!

Default RE: freezing flour and other dry goods?

I've always stored my flour in the package or a big ziploc bag. I've never had a moisture problem storing it either way. The ziploc bag method is nice in case it is accidently dropped or knocked out of the freezer. I've never stored any other dry goods/baking mixes in the freezer.

Good luck with your new freezer!
