I love those small town cookbooks that are put together
by a women's group. The recipes always seem so good!
And, I'm sure the recipe has been used over and over
from everyone in town!!

Our mom's group is in the process of trying to put one together to sell next year. It is a lot of work! And they need A LOT of recipes to make it good, like over 500 or something! But we've started the process, at least.

Yep, I belong to Junior League, and we've got about a bazillion of them left to sell!! I think pretty much every League in the states has put one out (literally -- haven't heard of any that haven't). Many libraries will have copies if you're interested. And if you want one from Ann Arbor, Michigan, let me know!

I was part of a small craft group at an old job. We put a cookbook together every so often. Very informal. Everyone emails their favorite recipies to one person, she prints them out and puts them into one of those $1 photo albums. I LOVE LOVE LOVE mine! Full of great food and great memories of wonderful people.

See, now why can't I find friends like this?? :)
