With the new format I can't figure out how to subscribe to a thread and receive email updates without posting to that thread. Is it possible?

To subscribe without posting click on the link that says "Thread Tools" at the top of an open thread. The third option on the drop down menu is "Subscribe to this Thread". From there you can choose your Notification type and Folder.
