    Default Hair brush/comb question

    We were shopping for a baby grooming kit when this question came up - As the soft spot/ fontanelle on a newborn's head is open is it alright to be using a hairbrush/ comb from day 1?

    There was no mention of this being a no-no at childbirth class, so I'm assuming this is fine. But I'd love to hear what you think and if you have a preference for a specific type of comb/ hairbrush.

    I rarely ever brushed my babies' hair, and they were born with plenty of it. If you feel the need to brush it, the very soft baby brushes that come with infant grooming kits should be fine as long as you are gentle. I personally wouldn't use a comb.

    of grief, and of getting past it;
    I feel my boots
    trying to leave the ground,
    I feel my heart
    pumping hard. I want
    to think again of dangerous and noble things.
    I want to be light and frolicsome.
    I want to be improbable beautiful and afraid of nothing,

    Default Hair brush/ comb question

    Thanks for the input LBW! I happened to crosscheck with my RN and she seconds that opinion.
