Default Q for Julie or those w/ big kids in boosters ?

Julie, how much does your 10 year old weigh? I am thinking I may have to take my almost 10 year old out of her booster seat when the new baby gets here. I don't think there is any way I can fit three car seats in the small back seat. I have the Infinity QX 4. Hoping to get a mini van, but that won't happen for a while. Right now I have two Jane's, and am leaning towards the Chicco Keyfit 30 for baby.

    Hey Janet!

My scrawny 65 pound 55 inch 10.5 yo still needs a booster...and due to some scary crash stuff I've seen lately I'm thinking all kids need them till puberty (need those hip bones to be able to hold the lapbelt down adequately). The good news is, I think you can move to a backless booster safely, and the Magna Clek Olli is super narrow but super comfortable. http://www.magnaclek.com/us/english/olli/index.aspx

It LATCHes like the Jane', BUT it doesn't have to (the LATCHing may push it too far towards the middle to fit the infant seat)...I have one of these and my kids like it (It even fits LATCHed next to a Roundabout, which is fantastic..I didn't own it as the same time as my Key Fit...).

Anyway, it's spendy, but the quality is divine (like a fine office chair/real upholstered vehicle seat) and it's about the narrowest thing out there (everyone's trending towards cupholders and massive armrests... they are missing the '3-across' need )

Janet, you could coordinate the booster seats to the stroller du jour....

Now that is CUTE! Makes me want to buy one for my almost 7 year old DS, too! I think he's around 50 pounds, and DD is chunking up near 70!
