Body Rash

My baby is almost 6 weeks old and at about 2 weeks, got a rash that started on his chest and worked its way down to the bottom of his abdomen. The doctor said it sounded like an ordinary newborn rash and that it will go away...it come and goes. It is coming back....it is a bunch of red dots on his skin, kind of looking like acne....any ideas on what this might be and has anyone experienced it before?

My 4 week old had a bad case of baby acne (clusters of tiny red/white pimples) on his scalp, face, and back last week and our pediatrician recommended putting breastmilk on it a few times a day. It became pretty crusty, but after about 4 days the rash went away. If you are breastfeeding, it doesn't hurt to try it.
