YES! I've had experience with this furniture. It is sold at the specialty baby and big kid furniture store where I work.
Basically we brought in Maxtrix when Flexa decided to pull out of retail stores all across the country in what initially was thought to be a return back to Europe but, in fact, turned out to be that they just wanted to open their own independent stores.
We have had the Maxtrix line for about 6 months now and it is incredibly popular. The quality is almost identical to that of Flexa, even down to their multi-step process to dry and the treat the wood prior to furniture pieces being constructed. In addition, where Flexa had a 600 lb. limit on their bunk beds, which was lab-tested with a huge crane weight being forced onto the bed multiple times, Maxtrix has gone a step further and offers bunks with an 800 lb. limit!!! You could have a small family reunion on one of these things! Maxtrix also offers the same safety features as Flexa including options for either a straight ladder or an angled ladder, each with guard rails as well as grooved slats on the ladders for maximum grip of the child's foot as they get into the bed. And these are only a few of the many safety features.
On top of that, out of all of the orders we have placed with Maxtrix - not ONE item has yet to come in damaged! If you consider the carelessness with which many truck drivers handle furniture items they transport being that they work for neither the manufacturer nor the retailer who receives the furniture, THAT is pretty impressive!
I think you'll be pleasantly surprised if you make the decision to choose Maxtrix for your child's furniture.
Hope this helps!
