    oh really? i didn't know.

    when i wear the moby or bjorn with her facing inward, she turns her neck and body outward so she can see outside... that's why i face her outward in the bjorn--but i don't wear that for more than 30 min like that.

    but in other carriers their legs hang down too, not with just the outward facing... is there something different about facing outward?

    I still love my tried and true Kozy carrier:

    and a few months ago I bought a Connecta that I really like:

    You might also want to look at short wraps (like a size 2 Didymos) or ring slings. You can use these on one shoulder and carry your baby on your hip. That way she can see forward, but not strain her neck to do so or strain her hips. These are by far my favorite carriers now because they are so easy to pop the baby in and out and they are comfy!

    Let me know if you have any questions about wraps, but I second (or third) the thebabywearer.com recommendation!

    of grief, and of getting past it;
    I feel my boots
    trying to leave the ground,
    I feel my heart
    pumping hard. I want
    to think again of dangerous and noble things.
    I want to be light and frolicsome.
    I want to be improbable beautiful and afraid of nothing,

    Dangling legs is typically not good. Most SSC's, wraps, mei tai's, and slings position the legs so that it's as if you were just holding them on your hip, the top parts of their legs wrap around you as oppossed to dangling in midair.

    I'm off to find a picture of my dd in our mei tai for you.

    Found it, please excuse the dirty mirror. Anyway, notice that her legs are just as if she was sitting in a chair except with the knees splayed out as opposed to hanging down.
