    Default seasoning for steamed broccoli

I usually put a little butter on our steamed broccoli, but DD has quit eating it. I noticed that she always eats it at some restaurants where they have seasoning on it -- I think Red Lobster is one of the places.

Anyway, I don't know what seasoning they could be using.

Any thoughts... DH loves RL's too. I think everyone would be happy if I could discover their secret.

    TIA

I'm not sure what Red Lobster uses, but we like a little lemon pepper on our steamed veggies.

The only way I can get my husband to eat vegetables is if I sprinkle a little parmesan cheese on top--not as fatty as adding cheddar, but it adds a lot of taste! I usually just do parmesan cheese, salt and pepper, with maybe a little garlic powder.

My DD loves Jane's Krazy Mixed-up Salt salt on broccoli (or green beans or any other veggie!). Actually, we all do.

ETA: It's available at our local grocery stores.

We sometimes use a dab of butter (optional) with some lemon juice, salt & pepper. DH prefers most of his veggies without the butter, so we use the lemon juice. It tends to brighten the flavor a bit.

Maybe lemon pepper or a seasoning blend like Lawry's Salt, Mrs. Dash, or Tony Chacheres? Lemon pepper is our favorite, but I'm guessing Red Lobster probably uses something more like Lawry's Salt

The best steamed broccoli that I have found is at Chili's. My son
and I could eat bowls of it.

I asked the waitress about it and she said it's just salt & pepper
    and melted butter.
She said the key is to mix the salt & pepper together THEN put
    it on the broccoli.

    Default 4S Special Seasoned Salt

My kids loves the 4S Special Seasoned Salt for their veggies.
You can get it from Penzey's spices.

    4/S Special Seasoned Sea Salt
Pronounced "four, S"; our new Special Seasoned Sea Salt gives a great burst of flavor wherever salt is called for. Like other seasoned salts, 4S is great for steaks, burgers and chops, but since we have made the flavor lighter and brighter than your old seasoned salt, 4S is also outstanding for chicken, fish, veggies, salads and popcorn as well. Give it a try, and we think you'll agree 4 S = 100% delicious. Hand-mixed from: Coarse Sea Salt, Sugar, Special Extra Bold Black Pepper, Paprika, Onion, Turmeric, Garlic, Spice Extractives (including oleoresin of paprika, black pepper, celery, rosemary and thyme.)
