    Talking Silly question about gates

Ok, I am new to this whole baby gate thing Which, you'll be able to tell from my question

So this is the type of gate I need to buy: http://www.amazon.com/Extra%252dTall...9135870&sr=1-1

I need the small door for my cat to get through to the litter box. It says that it is pressure mounted. I know that at the top of my stairs I need to screw it into the wall.

So, my question is: can I screw a pressure mounted gate into the wall? Or do I have to look for a different type of gate?

    TIA!

Can't cats jump over gates anyway? I don't think you can screw pressure mounted gates in. You can get something that hooks into the wall (a different kind) or move the gate down the hall, away from the staircase if you want to use the pressure mount, I think...

A pressure mounted gate won't come with the set up for you to be able to pressure mount it.

FYI, I have a 7.5lb cat and she just squeezes through the slats on the sides of The First Years' hands free gate that we have:

Just something to consider if you can't find the gate you want with a pet door.

Just FYI - My cat will not go through our baby gates. She will sit there and mewow or go around them by going through another room.

We have the same gate and our cats get through the slats with no issues....
