Nevermind, I didn't read the entire thread and posted too early.

You know, when I was a kid I wanted one of those OPERATION games so badly. When I finally got one, the noise really freaked me out and I was a lot older. I think it is a grating toy, the buzz it makes is awful.

    Huge hit:
    DS, 4
Imaginext Batcave and gift set from Target
    Quadrilla Twist n Rail (?)
Guitar Hero World Tour (bought for DH and not surprisingly a huge hit for him, but it was a surprise hit for DS - he loves the drums)
    DS, 10.5 mo
FP Sing-Along-Superstar (noisy toy, but still cute and entertaining and he uses the microphone for Guitar Hero)

    Medium Hit
    DS, 10.5 mo
Elmo Live - I need to read the instructions b/c it seems like he says the same things over and over, but both dc are entertained by it.

    Jury's still out
    Poingo (like Tag Reader)
    LF Word Launch
Superfly Capes - I thought he would love these, I'm still hoping he will warm up to them.

    Flop
Binoculars that take digital pictures - way to complex for even adults, frustrating for DS.
Clothes - not happy at all about getting them (but I liked the clothes he received
    Stuffed animals

We opened them late since we had all our Duplo blocks at our house and we were at BIL's house, but the Duplo Building Plates - the large, flat, green squares you build ON...they were a huge hit with both kids yesterday - several times during the day! http://www.amazon.com/LEGO-Large-Gre...0642244&sr=8-1 Before the plates, no one cared about the blocks.

    FP Rock-a-stack stacking rings

    Medium -
FP Peek-a-Blocks Shape sorter - He has shown some interest in the blocks and likes banging around the sorter part but he either quickly loses interest or bonks himself with it.
    Oball
Wooden toy car from Plan Toys

    Miss -
    Taggies Nesting cups

Isn't that funny? In our house, having a plate nearby means the difference between playing with them for 3 minutes and 30 minutes!

Giant bucket of Army stuff from TRU- 100 pc set from Grandma- not super fun to clean up...
    Polar Express Book
Matchbox Space Shuttle - this one was pretty great...
    Matchbox Haunted house
    Hotwheels car smasher
    Monster trucks
Optimus Prime Semi that turns into a dart blaster... (it said 5+, but he was able to operate it just fine).
Transformers (the car ones they are really easy to 'transform' 3+yr)

    Misses-
Animal Scrambles (random game from a family member)
He wasn't too into opening the Barefoot books I ordered, but hopefully will grow to love them later .
    Color Wonder book set
Marvel Heros Ball blaster - He loved the gun and ball part, but the assembly on the target net was ridiculous and he loved shooting the balls at Dad much more So half hit half miss?
