A family member purchased Leapster cartridges for DS's birthday from LeapFrog- they had a coupon out there that made it a pretty good deal. Unfortunately, she purchased duplicates of games he already owned. I wrote for the authorization number so I could exchange the cartridges for other LeapFrog products- I was told in no uncertain terms that I could NOT exchange the item unless I was exchanging a defective cartridge for the same cartridge- instead, a refund had to go on the original card it was purchased with.

This is the most INSANE policy I have ever heard- when I attempted to reason with them (they are losing business this way- I was going to exchange and buy more products as welll!) I got a cookie cutter response with their return policy attached.

Had the family member used gone to Target, this issue would not exist. And there would be no lost shipping charges.
