Clay recipe
Does anyone have a recipe for modeling clay that air dries hard or can be baked? DD wants to make a porcupine with 100 lollipop sticks for the quills for her 100 days project. I have a recipe for cinnamon glue ornaments but I was hoping to find a recipe for something that can be painted. DD wants the porcupine to be pink.

"Crafty Clay"
1 cup cornstarch
1 1/4 cups cold water
2 cups baking soda
1. Combine cornstarch and baking soda in a small saucepan.
2. Add water and stir until mixture is smooth
3. Heat mixture for 4 minutes over medium heat. Stir until it begins to thicken and turns to dough.
4. Remove dough from saucepan and allow to cool
5. Knead dough 2-3 minutes. Let finished creations air dry until hard.
(You can add 7-10 drops of food coloring before cooking, and you can knead in 1 tsp. fine glitter to make your sculptures sparkle. I think a little red food coloring and some pink glitter would be a fun pink porcupine!!!).
This sounds like what you're looking for. It's from the Kid Concoctions book, which is wonderful!!!

I know...now I'm going to have to try it with DD too. She's definitely a glitter and pink kind of girl. ;-)
