    Default Agent's commission on buying and selling - negotiable?

    If we're using the same agent for buying a new home and selling our current home, is it OK to negotiate on the agent's commission on the sale of our current home? She's getting two transactions from us, seems to me that she should be able to give us a break. If anyone has any experience with this, please advise.

    I got mine to lower her commission, but it was through her employer (she said) because they were the ones who kinda controlled that. She was the seller's agent, but I didn't have a buyer's agent, and the house had been sitting for a LONG time in a good market. Today might be a little different if the agents haven't been making much lately.
