    Default Do I need these?

I just ordered the items on my registry that I didn't get for my shower, and these two came in the mail ... and I'm not sure I need them or what to use them for. (Someone, I remember, recommended I get them) but now I'm not sure why....

If you plan on using public restroom changing stations, I'd have at least one of them. We had a washable version we kept in the diaper bag at all times. That way, no matter where DC got changed, their bodies didn't touch the surface. Also it protected the surface when we had to change them in the car, at childless friends, etc.

eta: We had one similar to this, but bigger (like maybe 36" x 18"?): http://www.amazon.com/American-Baby-...197619&sr=8-20

I use that Amazon one on my changing table at home so that if it gets dirty I only have to wash it vs taking the cover off of the contoured changing pad and washing that.

I hadnt thought of it but I think I'll get one of those Amazon ones for DD. I stopped using the changing pads that come with the diapers bags since it's not very washable and switched to disposables (which are too small).

I love that you can just throw them in the wash.

    Definately, keep it!

We use ours all the time! We use a smaller version for a changing pas cover like the pp mentioned. I use the big one when I play with my baby on my bed.

FYI: your first link is broken...

Personally, I prefer the Fisher Price portable changer for my live-in-diaper bag changer since it easily wipes down and is compact for storage...
...I think the waterproof pads have been discussed for use under the crib sheets as a liner on some threads here.
