Websites for OT supplies to use at home

This question if for anyone whose DC is or has been in OT. Do you know of any good websites for supplies? DS's OT is supposed to give me a list of websites but has not done it yet.

Depending on what you are looking for, you can often find fine motor, etc. items for less $$ from companies that aren't specifically geared toward therapists. (lacing cards, stacking pegs, etc.). What types of items did you have in mind? More sensory stuff or more fine motor items?

It's going to be fine and gross motor items. Turns out DS is roughly 2 years behind where he should be in both fine and gross motor skills. He is doing OT 2x a week and they want him to have items at home (although they have yet to tell me which type of items to have--we have lacing beads, a trampoline, exercise bands, jumprope and a few other items right now that we just happen to have already).

Any sensory needs? Sometimes Ikea has swings, etc. that are affordable. You'd need to talk to the OT about what they'd like him to have (if he even has sensory needs) since OTs use different types of swings for different purposes. They also sell items like those hanging rings (can mount indoors or outdoors I think) that are good for shoulder strength, etc. if that's a concern. (again, talk w/ the OT about what they feel is appropriate for his needs).

eta: Montessori types of catalogs often have some good fine motor activities depending on his needs there, or they can give you ideas on activities (transferring beans or rice or if that's too hard items like cotton balls with non-sharp tweezers for example). Again, sometimes you can get ideas from catalogs like that and duplicate the activities and materials less expensively on your own. Again, it depends on what the OT recommends for his needs but they also have things like polishing activities (requires using two hands together), pouring, etc. that can be good depending on what you need to work on.

I've also ordered from them. They're a local company, so I can pick up my order from the warehouse.

But I agree with Beth that I just usually get stuff where ever I can find it most cheaply and/or conveniently. The therapy websites are good places to browse the items available but they may not have the best prices.
