Bajo 100 bead abacus - already purchased
Plan Toys parking garage with cars- already purchased
Wooden doll stroller from nova natural or plan toys shopping cart
    Kidishes
My Little Scoot boxed sets by Maple Landmark
    Haba Sticki-Bausteine blocks
Wooden/felt food for his play kitchen
    Playsilks
    Lots of books!

Between DS's birthday (end of Oct) and Christmas, and spread out among grandparents, us and aunt/uncle:

    DS age 5
magna tiles 100 pieces-clear (as a poster mentioned in another thread, edufuntoys.com seems to have the best price. Use code take10 to get 10% off).
    lego creative or vehicle bucket
    binoculars
    checkers
    book on Greek Myths
small playmobile pieces- siege machine (ugh!) or roman soldiers

and now I will add kidishes to the list- thanks!

Melissa & Doug have some cool playfood sets, but beware they chip, Plan stuff is much better. Felt food from etsy is cool. Check the Chenille Chef on etsy. Just some BTDT advice!

    Default our list

Some things I'd like to get for DD for her bday (coming up) and/or Christmas:

*musical set (instruments in a box, not sure which brand yet)
    *Legos Duplo
    *Unit blocks
    *Ikea tunnel (possibly)
*playsilk(s) (homemade if I can swing it)

We recently bought her a Learning Tower off CL, and while I intended it to be a 'Christmas present,' we've already started using it .

I'd like to start a tradition for her (& future DC's) Christmas and/or birthday gifts to include
*an ornament representing that year (something we did/ a trip we went on/ whatever)
    *a good book
*an article of clothing (something she needs); possibly a cute new pair of p.j.s every Christmas
*an educational, or at least non-plastic, non-electronic toy, and
*an experience (tickets to a play/ whatever)

I'm sure this will change over the years, and we'll spend more on the 'experience' or 'hobby' category and not anything on toys.

T will get some books, some legos and likely something related to his love of science, maybe a nice magnifying glass. plus possibly a Wii game, if I can find one he will really like.

F will get some HABA baby toys I bought from BBB Swap, a couple of books and some sort of push toy.
Katie, mama to a pair of boys.

DD gets a Holiday Barbie, too. She doesn't know this yet, as they are kept in the box and usually purchased way late, when on clearance. Also the Swarovski Snowflake Annual Ornament, for when she is older. That reminds me to check if I purchased last years!

So far, all DS is asking for are trains, trains, and more trains, so I definitely need some ideas.

Probably some books and board games. I am toying with the idea of some Playmobil stuff. I would love to try to find an outdoor playset on super clearance for our new house and roll that into Christmas as well.

I feel like I'm about to have some kind of gift explosion. We have so much stuff in the gift closet I can't even begin to decide what is going to be for birthday or Christmas, and the girls birthday is in a few weeks. I do need to brave the jungle and figure out what is there though....so I'll report back later. I already showed DH this thread in triumph, saying "SEE, it isn't just me" (as far as people planning and buying gifts way ahead).
