    I teach special ed 4-5 year olds. It takes a lot to keep them engaged in circle time since they are all highly distractible and have limited attention spans. Puppets, movement etc all help to keep them interested! We made adorable turkey "puppets" for Thanksgiving and I put the words to all out turkey songs on the back so the parents could sing them with them too.

    I realize this s old but had to post:
    I recently saw an idea on pinterest where they used colored sticks and had stuck Velcro at each end on both sides and that made for building blocks! Thought it was a great idea.
