Default Suggestions needed for christmas gifts for dd2.

If the mods think this belongs in around the house that's fine. I just thought to post her to begin with due to the heavier traffic.

So I suggested a corrolle doll to my folks for dd2 for a christmas gift because she like baby dolls but I then noticed we have at least 6 baby dolls already. She has stacking cubes-albiet in incomplete sets and almost every toy from the toy aisle at target to tell the truth.

So what do I tell him to get her. My dad is doing the shopping this year since stepmom is in poor health. Online is a great option.

I was thinking of something wooden but she already has a ball drop-that I might be able to find balls for somewhere around the house.(can you buy new balls somewhere)?

She's not walking but is trying to pull up and her birthday is in february so something that she can grow into would be good.

I've looked at plan toys website and their stuff looks pretty plain.

    In other words

    HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Mega Bloks? A walker/riding toy? My mother bought DD an assortment of nice M&D puzzles and board books for Chanuka- those can really add up! Do you have a Leap Frog or Fisher Price activity table?I'll keep thinking...

do you need a new doll stroller

I'm getting DD snap n style dolls (check out fisher price's website) for Christmas do you think she'd grow into them eventually?

I bought this shape sorter http://www.playthings.com/article/CA6546193.html for DS2 (really from DH's sMIL) and I really like the look of it. For some reason it can't be found on their website. They also had some cute bead maze type toys in the same section (green toys).

My cousins DS is about the same age and I got him this RF Walker wagon
during the 50% Target sale the other day. I think this would be perfect for a little girl too. She can put her dolls in it and practice her walking technique.

yep-we've got the leapfrog activity table,a wooden 4 sided activity cube(parents from target), puzzles, tons of books. our doll stroller is in fine condition. A walker wagon wouldn't be a bad idea but what do you do with it once they learn to walk well?

Can I also add that anything that does NOT require batteries would be greatly appreciated by me and dh.

she doesn't have playsilks-where can I find those?

Once they walk well they still use the walker wago to push their toys around the house or outdoors. Or you could just use it as a decorative storage piece for stuffed animals, books, etc. My 3 year old would love one of these to load his trains into and race around the house with! Good thing they didn't have this on sale when he was younger!
I think some of the educational toy sites have good playsilks (learning resources maybe) Hopefully someone with more info can chime in on that.

I ordered playsilks from Magic Cabin, but if I had had more time I would have gotten them from Etsy.

Walker Wagon is DEFINITELY still used my my 2.5 year old ds long after being able to walk! Totes around toys, gets in it, it's really fun. Love the Radio Flyer one but we had to move it into our basement where we have carpet, because it was TOOOO LOUD on the wood floors.

I think pull toys are really great around that age, too.
Here is one that DS got around 18 months and I thought it looked pretty boring, but he still plays with it tons a year later. It's by Haba, called Convoi.
