Thanks for the feedback on the Beach House...DD looked at it and liked it so I think I'll go with it.

I don't belong to Sam's Club, but do BJs or Costco carry Lego at this time of year? I haven't looked since being "hooked" into the Lego thing

I don't know about BJs, but Costco had the Helicopter Transport set this year for $29.99 (MSRP $39.99). I missed it though... they were sold out by the week after Thanksgiving at our store... I was kicking myself for waiting. I didn't know if you were members or knew someone that was that could get it for you. You can check the website even if you aren't a member.

Or get a BJ's one-day pass if they tell you over the phone they have it http://www.bjs.com/join/one_day_pass.shtml
Hey look - if you don't have a Prime membership and need a filler on Amazon, here's the brick separator http://www.amazon.com/Lego-Building-.../dp/B000L7IEVE

    Default Another novice question...

Are Duplo and Lego at all compatible/interchangable? I'm thinking no?

They are not the same size, but you can use them together. Though we always play with them separately.

They are not the same size, but they are made to be used together. So you can click small Legos into Duplos, etc.
