Eoes anyone have an Ikea extendable bed?

I just saw these and they look really cool! They go from toddler-twin size. I can't tell if you need special sheets or if they are comfortable or not. Also could you use regular mattress or only the ikea ones? Anyone have one for their kids? Thanks!

We just went to Ikea to check these out today - I had hoped they'd work for crib mattress then twin mattress but they only work with the Ikea mattress (I think it folds in three sections). The width of the bed doesn't adjust, only the length. A few of them look nice but our whole reason for getting toddler bed was to get a little more life out of the crib mattress so we're going to go with a traditional toddler bed.
