Beth could not have said it better. A lot of women do not lose a ton of wt from BFing. I deal with a lot of BFing women, b/c I am a LLL leader, so this topic of discussion comes up regularly. To the point where I think that it has become blown up to the point of an urban legend. It DOES help you to lose some wt, but for most ppl it's not going to be to the point where all of their pg wt magically comes off within a few wks. Do NOT feel like you are odd for not dropping off wt after a few wks postpartum. If anything, your exp is more the norm. I only know a few ppl were lost a ton of wt from BFing, and they were the exception.
