What age for own room?

Obviously the odd one out here, but DS still sleeps in his crib in our room at 15 months. We have a small apartment, so for us, this is what works best at the moment. Probably will not move him out until we move to a new apartment, hopefully over the summer. We don't generally wake each other up and I do like having him so close by.

Ours moved into her own room at 16 months and seemed to have no problem with the transition. Happily in her own room till about 3 yrs or 39 months - ever since then she wants to sleep with us, in our bed! We are working on trying to get her to stay in her room, but she wants one of us there - says she is scared of the shadows, etc etc.
