    Default Pedialyte

Does Pedialyte really have to be used within 48 hours of opening the bottle?

yes it does. I have no idea why they make huge bottles. I prefer coconut water its natural and does the same thing.

I found that out the 1st time I bought. I never thought to read that label. Since then I only buy the small containers or, even better, the popsicles.

FWIW, they now have pedialyte powder that you just add to water. Maybe lots of people complained about the 48 hour thing and this is their solution.

CVS sells small bottles. I don't think you are supposed to use the powder in younger kids, like under two.

    the powder contains artificial sweeteners.

Not sure if the bottles do too, we don't use it.
