How long does a stomach bug last typically

DS1 has a stomach bug. What is a typical run of this? When will it end?

Friday -- throw up & diarrhea
Saturday -- throw up & diarrhea
Sunday -- diarrhea (getting better)
Monday -- diarrhea BAD

What would an eta be here?

He is drinking find and eating toast. No fever and no other symptoms other than being a little quieter than usual and slightly more clingy.

DS2 just has mild diarrhea.

DS had a stomach bug Sat. Started Fri night with leg pains, Sat morning, intense leg pains, throwing up, then Diarrhea later in the day. Sunday, some loose stools, but feeling like himself, eating, etc. Mon, back to school no problems. I have heard others who have 2-3 days of diarrhea after the vomitting day though.

ETA: our ped's office said they were seeing 2 types of stomach bugs, one that was only a few days, and the other more like 4-5 days.
