I love pork in our dutch oven. Just made it the other day. I just put a big (5lb) pork shoulder in there and poured 1 1/2 bottles of Montgomery Inn BBQ sauce over it. I cooked it at 325 for about 4 hours or so and it was awesome. We had pulled pork sandwiches for a couple of days.
The possibilities are endless, though. I like roasted chicken in there, too.

I think my DH would like roasted chicken in a dutch oven.

What size chicken would one use for a 5 qt pan?

Do you do veggies with it? If so, what kinds?

    Seasoning?

    Any other tips?

This one is always a hit on my house. I make roasted potatoes on the side because I like that crunch you get from roasting them in the oven (olive oil, salt and rosemary usually). http://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/t...ipe/index.html

Thanks! I think I printed that one years ago but never got around to making it. With maternity leave coming up, I thought maybe I could get a couple new recipes out on the schedule!

Yep...this one has been in the rotation since 2007 here!
