Default Making a King Cake with Cinnamon rolls

Has anyone ever done this? I'm suppose to make a King Cale for my sons class on Friday. I thought I could use pillsbury cinnamon rolls and make it easier on my myself. Now I am second guessing this. If you have made it this way, any hints or tips you would like to share?

    Thanks

IMO the cinnamon rolls would be more kid-friendly than actual King Cake anyway.

How many kids do you have to make it serve?

The jumbo rolls are 5 to a can; IDK how many you get with the smaller ones.

I'm thinking half-sheet pan or jelly-roll pan, lay down some parchment & stick the rolls next to each other ... I guesstimate that you'd probably need 3-4 cans of jumbo rolls to make up the surface area.
