    Default San Francisco Bay Area

    Here's one from the SF Bay Area:
    Pete Ellis Dodge - 1095 West El Camino Real, Sunnyvale
    It was a very catchy beat. I have no idea if the car dealership is still around!

    My dad still sings the jingle to "It's Howdy Doody time! It's Howdy Doody time!" fun thread!

    In SD it was:
    "Pete Ellis Ford, Garnet Avenue Exit I-5, Mission Bay." Man, that Pete Ellis gets around!

    Two favorites... I grew up in central NY, 2ish hours to Canada, and we had a tourism commercial for Ontario that my siblings and I loved: "Yours to discover, And you're gonna love it, In On-tar-i-o!"

    Also, I cannot remember the tune now, but Cinema National movie theaters used to have a nice promo before the movie started. I always liked it and the anticipation that I was about to watch a fun move. I'd love to hear it again.

    I haven't read any replies, I wanted to just reply right away with my knee-jerk memories! I remember:

    It's Shake & Bake, and we helped!
    * With Southern dialect
    * I used to do this impression when I was six years old in first grade! My teacher asked me to do it for the class once, and it was the first time I had an audience for a "performance," and I actually remember getting bitten by the bug that very day. I also did an Edith Bunker impression this day.

    I like hot dogs <fart sound> but they don't like me! Plop, plop, fizz, fizz, oh what a relief it is!
    * I'm dating myself, here.

    Time to make the donuts!
    * This guy slayed me!

    Hudson 3-2-700!
    * No clue what this was for, but I believe it was for a local carpet store.

    800-588-2300, Empire!
    * Began locally, but it's nationwide now, as I was shocked to see it in Florida the other day.

    I'd like to teach the world to sing
    In perfect harmony
    I'd like to buy the world a Coke
    And keep them company
    It's the real thing ...

    * I get weepy with this.

    The Native American on his horse looking out over the pollution with a single tear rolling down his face
    * Even at age 5 or 7, maybe, this commercial made SUCH an impression on me.

    Clydesdale themed spots for Budweiser and that specific theme
    * Classic

    Fall-in-to-the-Gap!
    * They should go back to that.

    Pepsi's Drink it in, drink it in, drink it in spots
    * " ... at the dog wash!"

    I know there are a ton of others I remember fondly, but that's all that are coming to my mind at this point.

    Do you mean this one? I LOVE this one and went looking for it last year and found it, so this post reminded me of it.

    What about the Monchichi commercials?
    Mon-chi-chi, mon-chi-chi,
    Oh so soft and cuddly
    Put her thumb in her mouth and she's really sweet
    Love to play with her little feet
    Mon-chi-chi, mon-chi-chi
    Oh so happy, mon-chi-chi!

    I was singing that to my DS last week and found it on you-tube.
