Need decorating advice!

[TLC1994]

I need to put curtains on our large patio window in our family room. Our couch is a deep red and we have 2 other chairs in the room - a muted floral w/dk. blue/mauve/green and the other is navy w/green leaves. This is not a fancy room - so nothing formal.

What color curtains would you suggest? This is for an 8' wide patio window, which basically takes up one whole wall in the room. The walls are a taupe/beige, as is the carpet.

I picked up some grommet-top panels in a matching red and I love it during the day when they're open and you see more of the sheers - but at night I'm not sure I really love the wall of red! But maybe it'll grow on me??
