    Default Breastmilk on plane

I see the TSA allows breastmilk on the plane in "reasonable" quantities. I'll be travelling away from baby for 1.5 days, and will be pumping while I'm gone. I don't want to pump and dump. Do you think the TSA will allow me to bring all of the milk back (I'm guessing around 20 oz). What about those gel thingies to keep the milk cold?

    Thanks
    Jennifer

I have never had an issue, large bottles of pumped milk, regular milk, water, all of it. They do not even blink.

Not a problem at all. Just declare it at security and they will do a separate inspection on it. I traveled back with around 30oz after a recent trip and they didn't bat an eye.

Traveling with BM is so incredibly easy. Usually they just swab the bottles. Last time they didn't even do secondary inspection on it. I think TSA is afraid of getting in trouble about this again.

You'll have no issue with the milk or the ice packs/gel packs. Just tell the agent when you are going through the security line and they will most likely treat the bag like precious cargo (which it is!).
