Default Mommy-brain moment: When to introduce milk?

C will be 1 at the end of the month (sniff sniff!). I am still EBF and will continue to do the morning and night feedings after her birthday, but I am ready to back off a bit and let her have (soy) milk.

I can't remember when to introduce it? After her birthday? Before her 1 year visit? NOW!?

    Thanks!

At 12 months is just fine -- you can go cold turkey, 50/50, whatever works for you. HOWEVER, I personally would really wait regardless till your 1 year checkup, even if that means the changeover is 13 months or 11.7 months.

I have already let DS try milk products like yogurt, but right after his birthday I plan to start giving him milk instead of formula. You can really introduce it now too if you are EBF already (per my ped).

I intro'd milk a few days before DS's 12-month check, because I wanted to discuss with the ped if there were problems.

    Just a thought.
