Anyone get a refund on their Costco membership

I went to Costco yesterday to pick up some things for a party and I found out my membership had expired in February and they asked me if I wanted to renew. I automatically said yes and then I started wondering if it was really worth the $50 given I hadn't actually shopped there in over two months. I was thinking about going back and seeing if I can cancel my membership and get a refund. Pre-DD we went there a lot but now it isn't really that convenient and when I do go I always ended up spending close to $200 much of it on things I don't really need. I have a lot of friends with memberships and I figured if I really wanted something that I could have them take me.
Since we are down to one income I'm trying to get rid of unnecessary expenses and this seems like one that might be able to go.

I cancelled mine about 4 months into my membership - having used it quite extensively until that time - they just handed me $50 cash, no pressure, no questions asked.
