Default Is This Normal? Maybe TMI

Okay, so I started taking regular BCP's a month and a half ago. (I'm mid-way through my second pack of Loestrin24Fe.) Last month I had no problems, no spotting or breakthrough bleeding...everything was great.

This month, it's almost exactly one week before I should take the placebo pills and I am having major cramping, very light spotting and I just feel lousy. I did, just yesterday in fact, completely stop breastfeeding and switched to formula, but it's been a VERY slow transition. I have no idea if this is from weaning, if it's just considered normal adjustment to going back on the pill or if this is breakthrough bleeding.

    Anybody have any thoughts?

It could be the combo of hormones from the BCP's and BFing. My body did some weird things when I weaned DD. Sorry I can't contribute more info. Hope it gets better for you!

Never hurts to call your doc. That's what they are there for!

Thanks ladies. I'm hoping it's just my body transitioning onto the pill and off of breastfeeding.

If I continue to have issues, I'll be sure to call the OBGYN though.
