He claims his business started doing better after he did it.

Then again, he's got a beam running across his bed and my parents are still married. It's at the very foot of the bed and my parents don't actually lie under it so maybe it's only bad if you're directly under the beam?

My mother, who is Chinese, spends a lot of money to her Feng Shui consultant, when it comes to major decisions. She wants to move up here and her consultant said not to until December or next year. I kind of think some of it is BS, but if it makes my mom happy so be it.

My mom hired a Feng Shui consultant to walk through her home. They added tons of mirrors but other than that, I didn't really notice anything major. I laugh because if you walk through their house, you can literally see yourself in a mirror in 7 or 8 different places (including an entire mirrored wall right in the entry!).

Can anyone recommend a good book on Feng Shui? I definitely would like to read more about it and might try few things too.

Can you check some out of the library before buying? If your library does not have a big selection, they should be able to get more on interlibrary loan. Maybe a Dummies book would be good.
