    Your post said it was an expense you could do without. EI through the county should be free. We ran into this with DS. I thought he was getting EI and it was really private so we had co pays for every visit (they didn't tell us until they had been seeing him over 2 months). Later when we went through the county's EI it was completely free.

    Where I am, EI works on a sliding scale based on income. So free for some people, but not for others - although generally lower cost than private therapy. Perhaps the OP's EI system is similar.
