I'm so annoyed. In almost every store we go to, I hand Fiona the receipts 'cause she thinks they're money. Lovely. Just lovely.

Recycled paper products like T.P. too (didn't read the article you linked to yet, it might address this).

I feel the most for cashiers who are handling these *all* day. Particularly if pg

Honestly, I can't get worked up about this.

We all have to choose what bothers us in our everyday lives an I'm not choosing receipt ingredients.

I know, and it seems like what we don't know (and thus can't avoid) makes our efforts seem pointless. I've been careful about buying bottles and things that are BPA free, and then my sister went and told me about these receipts and how they have more accessible BPA than the stupid bottles!

My sister says she's going to keep a ziploc in her purse as well as something to clean her hands with.. I think I'll just decline receipts when I'm not likely to return something, and not give the others to Fiona. I mean, really.. I'd love to be perfect about avoiding everything, but when there are toxic chemicals in such innocuous things as receipts.. ugh.

We used thermal receipts at our restaurant (while I was pg) and at our other business (5 yrs before I could get pg). My job????? Handling these ALL DAY LONG. Great.
