Wow...thanks everyone! These recipes sound great...and more variety than I was coming up with.

I had forgotten about my cider pork chop recipe. It sounds very similar to the one m448 posted. I even bought mashed sweet potatoes to have with them. Great minds think alike!

Thanks again. I'll definitely have to give these recipes a try.

San Francisco Porks Chops are our favorite!

I prefer using beef broth vs. sherry, and generally serve them with egg noodles. The red pepper flakes are what add the heat in this one, so if you don't like spiciness I'd cut back on those!

    Default a super easy recipe

here is an old family favorite (that now sounds weird... even though i like it!). i google some of the ingredients and found that it is a real recipe. first is my mom's version...

Pork chops in pan. top with onion slice, lemon slice, brown sugar, ketchup.
You can always sprinkle with Lawry's or some seasoning salt before you
start layering. bake at 350 for 45 min to 1 hour. Cover with foil for the first 30 mins. Serve with potatoes or rice or bread and a salad and veggies.

    Supreme Pork Chops
    • 4 (1 1/4 inch) thick pork chops
    • 4 slices onion
    • 4 slices lemon
    • 1/4 cup packed brown sugar
    • 1/4 cup ketchup
    1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
    2. Place chops in a 9x13 inch baking dish and top each one with an onion slice and a lemon slice. Add 1 tablespoon brown sugar and 1 tablespoon ketchup on top of each pork chop.
    3. Cover dish with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes. Remove cover and bake another 30 minutes or until internal temperature of meat has reached 160 degrees F (70 degrees C). While baking, baste occasionally with pan juices
