    Default ISO Best outdoor blanket?

Looking for the best water resistent blanket to take to the park. Something easy to fold and will hold up well, but also that doesn't get too hot when it is a warm day. It dosen't have to be a "baby" brand- but these are the two that I have seen.
The main one I have seen is JJ Cole:

Skip Hop just cam out with one, but I'm worried there are too many bells and whistles:

    Default Mambe blanket- folding?

How is the mambe to fold? Looks sort of bulky to fold

easy to fold, but slippery. comes unfolded easily. i usually just fold and if it comes undone, it remains in a blob. not a huge deal for me, but if fold is imp, might not be great for you. I keep one in my car and one at home. hth

Great question -- I have been looking for same.

A while ago, I remember seeing some casual blankets (that fold into a bag) at Bed Bath and Beyond. ?

Not sure how they are though.

I'm assuming you can wash these? Or can you just wipe them clean?

I have the travel blanket from Bed Bath and Beyond. I can't compare to baby blankets since I don't have one of those, but it's worked just fine for us. It zips up into its own "bag" with a handle. I keep it in the back of my van and always used it for t-ball/softball games when my older daughter was playing and my younger daughter was a baby/toddler. I've also used it to put on picnic tables as a tablecloth. Oh, and when softball practice is in the gym, I can use it zipped up as a cushion for the hard floor and my pregnant with twins body. I think it was $15 and I used a coupon (of course). Mine is probably 4 years old and looks great. I throw it in the washer/dryer whenever I need to.

I have the Bed Bath and Beyond one as well. Got it for $15 last summer (after $5 off coupon). Its lightweight and I like that it has a carry strap that adjusts long enough to wear cross-body and it has an exterior slip pocket that is big enough to hold dipes/wipes, etc. It washes and dries easily too.

The only thing I'm not crazy about it is that its not exactly waterproof. If the ground is damp, you will probably get wet. So I'm on the search for a more waterproof one as well. I've heard good things about both the JJ Cole and the Tuffo blankets.

Is this heavy to carry? Is it washable?
