    Sorry, didn't see the questions until just now. For the JJCole blanket, the tag says : Machine wash in commercial or large capacity washer (3.5 cu ft/0.09 cu m or larger) or spot clean. Hang to dry. It's not very heavy (I'd say a lb or so) and folds compactly. The carry strap is adjustable so you can make it short to carry right under your arm or longer to carry cross-body. HTH

    yeah, it's really great. love how it folds up and we can just carry it on our shoulder. and it just wipes clean. i didn't think it was very heavy at all IMO

    LL Bean sells an outdoor blanket. I think it's called "all-weather blanket" or something like that. You can find it under outdoor gear/camping on their website.

    this looks very similar to the mambe...much cheaper. it says water resistant. mambe is water proof. hmm.

    Skip Hop has a new outdoor blanket and it has a cooler too! its a bit more expensive but it has really cool patterns.
