    Default Calling all gardners....question??

I have some organic seeds left over from last year, can I use them? Organic veggie seeds, I don't even think one or two of the pouches were opened! Want to start planting this weekend and don't feel like trekking the kiddies out to search for more, but if they won't work I don't want to waste the time or space!

I would think they'd be ok. Try sprouting them on a wet cloth in a plastic bag or glass bowl with lid. then plant the ones that sprout.

most seeds last several years, so they should be fine as long as they have been stored properly (cool, dry).

aha! I found an article that has a list of how long common veggie seeds are expected to last:

They should be fine, just a little less germination. So plant a few more than usual.
