In search of Plus Size recommendations for MOG

Hi ladies!
Need your help! I am needing ideas for browsing for Plus Size MOG dresses and SOG dress- both mom and I are about 5'11''- and she's just a little thinner

Wedding will be indoors, in October

Neither of us is crazy about short dresses in length- nothing above the knee (I am particularly sensitive because I am very long legged and they look ridiculous on me!

I would feel more comfortable in something with straps, as would mom. Also having something that we can move in for dancing, running after my DD, etc, would be good!

Am I looking for the impossible?

Places I am scouting include: Nordstroms, Macys- I have yet to go into the stores..... need to do a field trip once schools out, Silhouettes.....

HELP!!

Nordstroms is my default for dress up stuff now. I liked some of the stuff enough that I have had it altered when I lost weight.
