In summary: Probably not possible. I will be buying a Radian soon I think and will see if that changes anything but I don't think it will.

I've been trying to do a RF convertible seat plus a HBB plus a LBB.

    • A BLVD 70 or MA 70 does not fit in outboard position.
    • Installation of BLVD 70 or MA 70 HAS to be in center position, so either you can't use LATCH for other seats or must do seatbelt install for the convertible. With either of these seats or a RA 55 in center, a Graco Turbo Booster LBB will JUST fit on one side, but then it is impossible to buckle the seatbelt, so it's no use.
    • With the above configuration, the seatbelt stalk for the other outboard position is covered by the convertible's base and the seat protrudes into that passenger's space.
    • Could feasibly put a LATCHed, harnessed booster like Safety First Go next to a center installed convertible, but again no third passenger as they can't access the seatbelt, so no point really.
    • Roundabout 55 will fit outboard with reasonable passenger space for short trips, leaving ability to put a HBB in the other outboard position, but cannot get a LBB between them.

If I manage to somehow make this work with a Radian--if the base of it is somehow THAT much skinnier than a Turbo Booster--I will let you know, but seems unlikely. In that case maybe someone could do a RF convertible and 2 Radians, but it wouldn't help those like me who have a child too tall for Radian.

Updated 3/11/12: Pretty sure now that 3 across is not possible at all. I have had a RF Roundabout 55 behind the driver seat and a Safety First Go behind the passenger seat with DS1 using only the seatbelt in the center position and this is a squeeze. (DS1 now 10 years old, at least 5 ft tall and about 88 lbs) Today I tried a FF Radian to replace the Roundabout and there still is not enough room for DS1 to squeeze in between (can't get his shoulders back against the seat due to the wings on the sides of the Radian) so there's no way you could even get 3 Radians side by side. MAYBE if the one in the middle was RF, but then it probably would hit the front seats anyway. And not even 3 Go's would work, because I never could get a LBB in the center position next to the Go I have because of the arm rests. So...buy a bigger car

Ford Taurus X - successful, even roomy fit 3 across in the second row bench. We had a drivers side Britax Frontier, a center install rf radian xlt, and passenger side turbobooster. The Frontier was latched, the Radian a seatbelt install.

Do you have three full sets of LATCH on that Taurus X bench? If so, that's nifty! Most cars only have LATCH for the outboard or some weird rules that you can't install LATCH both center and outboard at the same time :/.

Jools - I was wrong and I corrected the info. We just uninstalled both seats so I could clean them and dh had the Radian installed with the seatbelt. Thanks for catching this I didn't want to give out inaccurate info.
