DD is about 24 lbs and I pick her up and occasionally carry her, and I'm 30ish weeks. I'm not letting her climb all over me any more (ugh!) and I'm trying not to lift other heavy things like bags of mulch. I didn't give it a second thought until I saw this thread...

My DD's are 21 months apart. I had no choice but to carry my DD1 around while pregnant. I just tried to take it easy when I could and when DH was home he would do the carrying.

I am 32 weeks pregnant and am still picking up my 27 lb 18 month old. Not all the time because if I do it too much, my back kills me. Like some of the pp's said, how can I not? The only people who have told me not to were actually my mom and mil (who for the first time in history actually agreed on something). I'm sorry, if my baby needs me, I will pick him up.

DS is 2 and almost 30#. I'm 29 weeks w/ twins and still carry him if I need to. It's hard... but what else do you do!

28 weeks here: I am constantly lifting my 23 lb 19 month old & my 31 lb 3 year old. No way to escape it. Edited to add that my 5 year old broke her her leg when I was pregnant with my son. I carried her up and down the stairs for 2 months.

I carried my nearly 6 year old when due with DD. He got hurt and needed to be picked up. It happens. I don't see what could possibly be the problem unless you are on bed rest.
